Great News!!! Penny is adopted!!!

We are super excited to share the best news of the season yet! After about seven months with us in our rescue, Penny has finally found a loving home!

We’re eternally grateful to all the wonderful volunteers who took excellent care of Penny whilst in our habitats at Petco and Doggie Don’s, and our awesome new foster mom Lora for taking Penny home to give her a break from being in cages where Penny had been getting very depressed.

Penny flourished in Lora’s home, enjoying all the freedom and lots of love, and there she finally met someone who had to take her to a home of her own.

We couldn’t be happier for Penny and her new family and all of us with Northport Cat Rescue wishes them all the best!!!

Penny is Doing Great in Foster Home

Penny seemed depressed. She has been in our habitats for a very long time so she really needed a break. Our newest foster parent Lora took Penny to her home to give her much deserved break from living in cage and lots of love and attention. We’re so grateful to Lora for opening her home to Penny.

Here is what Lora has to say about Penny:
”Penny is doing unbelievable. What a doll! Sweetest little girl, she is so happy.
Playing, using litter box, eating and loving everyone that says “hi” to her. She has met my dog and didn’t even flinch. You wouldn’t even recognize her from Saturday till today. She needed to get out of there. We will be sending you videos and photos to post to show this little girl’s personality. She deserves a beautiful home!” Lora, Foster Mom

Izzy has found himself a loving home!!!

GREAT NEWS!!! Izzy has found himself a loving home!!!

Izzy was found in a driveway in Huntington. A kind gentleman took Izzy home, got him vetted and called us to see if we had any room. Since he was so tiny, our wonderful foster Jean took him in her house and took super good care of him until he could be adopted.
Now he is loved in his new home.

We wish Izzy and his family all the best. <3

Uber needs a home!

NCRA is looking for that special person or family with a huge heart to adopt Uber. Are you them? He is an overly super friendly outgoing boy. Extremely vocal, vision impaired, adhd etc. Always purring!! He gives you more love than you can handle!! wherever you are he will be. Under your feet, constantly on your lap or around your neck. 🙂. A total snuggling lap cat. Food intake must be controlled. He gets along just fine with other cats & dogs. Can see shadows or light so gets around fine. He would be a best fit for a stay at home person or someone that works from home that can give him lots of love. Not a fan of being left alone as he craves so much attention. He does not do well in confinement. Cries all the time when locked up. Do you have it in you to take such a loving little boy into your home. Please contact us. Please spread the word in hopes we find him the perfect home.

Late Season Yard Sale - Great Success!!!

Thank you to our generous veterinarian Dr. Garretson at Greenlawn Animal Hospital for donating his giant tent. We hope to have many events with this tent so we are super grateful for this donation.
Thank you Mike for helping us bring it over and set it up. It was a lot of labor!
Thank you to everyone who donated to our November Yard Sale. We managed to fill up a 20x40 tent in under a week of drop-offs and collections of donated items. You’re all so wonderful do all that you can to help during our fundraisers.
Thank you Kirsten of Tart Nouv-Oh for her scrumptious snickerdoodles which sold out in less then an hour, so quick that we didn’t get to take any photos of them!
Thank you Diane, Pat and Rosalie for coming and helping man the fort, even though it was freezing at times.
Thank you all those who came and shopped during our yard sale.
We were open four days and made a little over a $1,000, all of which will be used to care for many rescue cats we have waiting for their furever homes.
Please think of us during your spring cleaning and don’t throw away anything until Spring 2019 which is when we will have our next yard sale. 😊
