Luke & Larry: Bonded Brothers Still Waiting for a Home
Luke and Larry are one-year-old brothers who survived the unthinkable. Last winter, they were found huddled in a mechanic’s shop, starving and freezing, chewing on pizza boxes just to stay alive. They had a sister with them, but heartbreakingly, she didn’t make it. The boys stayed by her side until help finally came.
Since arriving at NCRA, they’ve slowly learned what safety feels like. Larry is the brave lovebug—he leans in for pets and purrs with his whole heart. Luke is shy at first, but once he trusts you, he melts and trills softly when touched. They’ve been each other’s comfort through every moment of fear and loss.
They’re wonderful with other cats and even did well living with a dog in foster care. After everything they’ve endured together, they must stay together.
💔 They’ve been waiting at Petco Huntington for so long—without a single application. It’s heartbreaking, because their happily-ever-after is out there… they just haven’t been seen yet.
Please share their story. Help Luke and Larry find the loving home their sister never got.
